Youth Temple Trip

Yesterday, Saturday, June 6th 2009, I went on my first youth temple trip!! I was overly excited and jumpy! On the way there I rode with Penny Gynn, Rylie Duce and Amon Jackson. I slept twice but the adventure on the trip there was when Rylie suddenly got sick, and was handed a puke bucket. Turning away from Rylie who was sitting right next to me and sharing my blanket, Rylie puked three times. But it was okay. Right after she puked, she says, " Oh I feel much better! That was really weird!". We shared a laugh then got back on the road again.
When we arrived at the temple, we jumped out and waited in the parking lot for about fifteen minutes for our bishop. He wasn't late, but we were an hour early!! We decided to spend our time walking the Spokane Temple grounds. Small, yet incredibly beautiful while walking the perimiter of the temple we walked past a Killdeer bird with a nest full of four eggs right in the shrubs!!! We watched as she tried to guid us away from her eggs. She was beautiful! Just today there was a testimony on what a perfect place to nest, the temple grounds! Anyway, the bishop arrived and we all entered the temple.

Waiting for about two seconds on the comfy benches in the waiting room, we enterd at the desk. We all quietly walked through the glass doors to the baptizimal font and had a "personal dresser" give us our white jump suits. I entered the doors labled "women" and found myself in what I would describe an angels dressing/bathroom. We all changed into our jumpsuits (ever so comfertable, good enough to just sleep in)and put our hair up in white scrunchies. We then filed out to the squishy chairs and benches by the font.We were given little pink papers of who we were getting baptized for. I counted ten papers that I was given. The oldest person that was in my "packet" was born in 1874, so I put her first. I waited and watched as all my friends got baptized and the spirit was soo strong that I couldn't stop smiling! I was called to get confirmed for different people than I was getting baptized for. It was amazing. It was like I was the person who has been waiting years and years for this moment.
Finally I waded into the warm font that was held by twelve beautiful oxen. I grabbed Weston's arm as he held the wrist of the hand that I was to plug my nose with. Ten times I was dipped into the water, happier than ever. After Weston tapped my back twice, I exited the font with a wet heavy jumpsuit and the biggest smile. Sister Duce handed me a white towel as I slopped back into the dressing room. I waited in my now wet jumpsuit to enter the shower. Rylie came out of the shower, we smiled at each other and I gratefully entered. I took off my jumpsuite and took half of my shower time trying to figure out how to work the shower. I jumped out, got dressed into my black skirt with pink flowers and white long sleeved dress shirt with my white heels. I blowdried my bangs then went watch the rest of the baptizims.
We all left the temple feeling clean and fresh and went back to our cars to go to the famous Country Buffet. With growling stomachs, we rushed into the resturaunt and filled our plates with everything. We ate for an hour, and I was so bloated that I felt that I could just fall over. I switched cars and rode with Bohni, Michael, Megan, Savana, Quinn, and Megan's dad and mom on the way back to Hamilton. We talked and listend to music and laughed on our ride home. They dropped me off and Bohni and I were all alone because Mamma was in Lewistown and Hagan went to a friend's in Stevi. We played some video games and than crashed on my moms bed.
Sister Elison gave us a ride to church this morning. We are all sooo excited that she is pregnant, but sadly she is moving to Germany. We wraped up today with church and hung out at 500-2 Stonegate drive. I had such a great experience and can't wait to do it again. The Bishop said that altogther, we baptized about 110 people on Saturday and I figured that we will all be pretty popular in heaven!

Book of Mormon in Dr. Suess Version

My mother recently sent me this email about the Book of Mormon in Dr. Suess version. I LOVE it!!! I bet you'll get a kick out of this even if you haven't read the AWESOME Book of Mormon:

Author:
Unknown

Nephi: Of goodly parents I was born
I've never drunk, I've never sworn
This is Lehi, he's my dad
Laman, Lemuel, they are bad
And who is this? Why this is Sam
Yes, this is Sam;

Sam: Sam I am

Laman: That Sam I am, that Sam I am
I do not like that Sam I am

Sam: In a tent, my father dwelt

Laman: And it's so hot, I think I'll melt

Lemuel: Our father's brain is out of whack

Laman: Yeah, it's too hot, I'm going back

Lehi: Then go and get the plates my dear

Laman: On second thought, I'm staying here

Nephi: You said you'd leave and go away
Now all you want to do is stay?

Lemuel: That Nephi always gets his way

Laman: Here we are in this damp cave

Sam: We would not be here if you'd behave

Nephi: I will go and I will do
There's the angel, that's my cue
Laban's had too much to drink
Now he'll lose his head, I think

Nephi: Look what I found, a brother from the quorum

Sam: We will take him home, we will call him Zoram

Lemuel: Oh great, another pathetic life form

Laman: Our gold and silver we have spent
I do not like it in this tent

Lemuel: I cannot read the Liahona
I must have drunk too much Corona

Laman: We hate it here, we have no lives

Lehi: Then go back to the city and get some wives

Lehi: A tree, a tree, I see a tree
The fruit is white, the fruit is free
A floating building, could it be?
Why do they laugh and stare at me?

Laman, Lemuel, come and see

Laman: We will not eat your precious fruit

Lemuel: We will not wear a tie and suit

Laman: We will not help you build your boat

Lemuel: We do not think that it will float

Laman: No not this boat, it will not float
Not even in a shallow moat
I do not care what Nephi wrote

Lemuel: We will not eat your fruit I say

Laman: We will not eat it on a tray

Lemuel: And we won't eat it in a tent
Not even if your clothes you rent

Laman: We'd rather have a can of spam
L & L: We will not eat it, Sam I am

Sam: You do not like it, so you say
Try it, try it, and you may
Try it and you may I say

Laman: Sam, if you will let us be,
We will try it, you will see

L&L: Say, we like this fruit of life
Sorry that we caused such strife
You've saved us from an awful jam
Thank you, thank you, Sam I am

Don't you LOVE IT!!!
Maybe, if you didn't get it, you should READ THE BOOK OF MORMON!!

The Miss Rodeo Montana Gala

The Miss Rodeo Montana Gala was so fun last night. I got to meet Julia, Luke, Panda, Russ, Wendy, Newbia, Coulter and Kyle. Cammie, Jamyn and Haeli were there to dance with. It was a blast. I cowgirl-grooved on the dance floor more than I planned to. Panda, Tia, Julia, Cammie, Jamyn and I made up a cute little line dance, but ended up doing Haeli's one. The music was AWESOME!! Kyle Shobe and the Walkem' Boys had a HUGE veriety of new and oldies songs. At the end, we went around to each table and gathered all of the prettiest flowers, and stowed them away in Haeli's purse. I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by Russ'FAMOUS, BREATH TAKING DANCE SKILLS!!! He is now one of my favorite dancers. In the end we all took pictures of the Allens and Bellers. That was the most fun I've had in a long time.;)

Youth Swing Dancing

On Wednesday, for young womens, we joined up with the young men and had a swing dancing class. First we learned the basic steps, and a couple of little moves and tricks, and then we learned the butt spin. The butt spin is one of my favorite dance moves. I remember swing dancing with Ethan Fadley once, that was the first time I actually swing danced, and the butt spinn was one of our favorites, too. Anyway, bohni and I somehow started dancing together, and doing the butt spinn over and over again, and eventually made up our own version. Unfortunattly, I don't have a video of the new, DOUBLE BUTT SPINN. Here's what we do, you do the regular butt spinn ( one or two armed) and then, when your supposed to get up you get on your knees and and flip and spinn on the floor again really fast, and then(because we couldn't get me back up again) you slide in that super model position, you know , your on your side with your elbow supporting your head, and look hot. Just kidding. Yall' should try it sometime, it's the best.
