13th Birthday Party
So, this year for my birthday party, I decided to go ice skating in Missoula! It took two cars to take all of my friends and family up there, but I'm thankful that it all worked out. Once we got there, me and six other friends rented our skates, and took off! We started out a little shaky, and then got the hang of it. It was fun! There was music playing and we were all laughing, and we even got to watch the Zamboni! We had a great time, even though my skates gave me a great birthday present, a blister! After we were all skated-out, we drove over to Little Caeser's Pizza and ate and opened presents in the car. Crowded, but fun. Mckayl got me a Champs Sports gift card and a pack of gum, Carlie gave me a bag of chocolate and ten dollars, Annika got me a Shrink Art Jewelry kit, Holly got me a little snowman to put on my dresser or in my locker, Kara got me ten dollars, Ellie got me some perfume from Aeropostale and an Owl City cd, and Cameron, even though she couldn't make it to the party, got me a fifteen dollar gift card to Chapter One Bookstore. I was so happy and gratefull for all of the great gifts, and was glad that so many friends could come. And, I am a teenager now!!! Yay, thank you all who made my birthday so amazing!
Choir Concert
So, surprisingly, I DID get the solo! Yay! Exept, so did five other people. Our teacher couldn't decide who to pick so she chose three seventh graders and three eighth graders. I'm deffinataly NOT bumbed out, because I won't have to be nervous, but instead sing with other people. Looks like the odds are in my favor, so I'll be happy about singing a solo (with five other people). Though, it is strange, because during practice, our teacher, Ms.T, calls the six people "soloists". It makes me doubt her education in music. But, I'm still pretty happy that I got it!
