Babysitting

As most of you already know, this year will be my first attending Girls Camp! I'm sooo excited and can't wait for the experience! But to raise money for camp we had to do service projects. I offered to do four hours of babysitting and a desert for two. Evidently, one of my favorite young womens leaders offered to pay fifty buckeroos! She won my service and on friday I babysat for her.
I stayed home and made a devil's food cake ( ya, it's tottaly smart to do devil's food for a church related camp!) with a light purple frosting, stringed with dark and white chocolate! Sister Elison and her husband loved it. They left it home with Evalyn, Oliver, and I. The kids ended up having a couple pieces and sneaking some frosting off of the top of it. Anyway, I got there and Evalyn started off reading a couple short little books to me since Oliver was asleep. We had some extra cheesey pieces of pizza and then Oliver came down from his nap. After he ate, we all went and ate popsickles out in the rain. They persuaded me to letting them jump in some puddles and play indians ( I ended up as their prisoner, ofcourse:). When Oliver accidentally hit Evie in the knee, and wouldn't say sorry, I ended up threatening to take his super powers away. Strangely, he didn't apologize, but smiled and ran into the house. Me and Evie followed and we all settled down and watched "The Little Mermaid".
Evie suddenly got the idea that I needed my fingernails clipped and picked up the clippers. She said that we could play salon and she would clip my nails. " No thanks, Evie. I'll clip my nails when I get home," I said to her, of course she resisted. Halfway through the proccess of the clipping, she says, " You look way better already!". She ended up doing a pretty good job, well at least there wasn't any blood.
When the kids where all settled down, Kim and Damon got home. They thanked me and Evie didn't want me to go with me stuck in her hugs. Sister Elison drove me home with a goodnight, and I got home happily.
All in all, my second babysitting job went well and I raised enough money to go to Girls Camp!

So You Think You Can Dance

As most of you know, I'm comptletely in love with the Fox tv series, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. But, this week was exeptionally wonderous. Jonathan and Karla bumped their way up to the top section of my favorite couples list, with a wonderfull contemporary dance to the Academy Award winning song, Falling Slowly (by The Frame), choreographed by a new Canadian choreographer on the show. I couldn't help but watch it about five times in a row, and was overly exited that they were safe and still on the show. I hope you enjoy this dance as much as I did!
